Today, December 3rd 2015, is the day when the Star of Hope Romania is celebrating its 25th anniversary. The day began with morning sofa on national TV together with our Star of Hope Romanian leader Aura Vatamaniuc and Tent missions CEO Lennart Eriksson who also represented Star of Hope. Tonight is the grand gala in the city of Iasi-Romania to commemorate a long successful work for the disabled and their families.

Here is a letter from our Star of Hope Romanian leader Aura Vatamaniuc that tells about the day and the activities.
Dear friend, partner ,sponsor,
I would like to invite you to celebrate together the 25 years of activity of the Star of Hope International, Sweden and Norway in Romania. We will show our appreciation to our partners and supporters, as well as the most beautiful moments in the life of the organization over the years, joys that were born with sustained efforts, sometimes tears, but always braided with faith, hope and love.
I also kindly invite you, on the 3rd of December 2015 in Iasi, to celebrate the "International Day of Persons with Disabilities", to be close to the children with disabilities at the “ Christmas Tree of Hope “ and GALA FOR CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES”.
The Gala will take place on Thursday ,the 3rd of December ,between 17.00-20.30 in the evening .We will offer awards for the best results of the children with disabilities ,the best projects and the best supporters. In the same time we want to show our appreciation for the parents, to reward the best fighters, the unknown heroes of the battles with the limits imposed by their disability. We want to show our appreciation to them and their supporters without whom we couldn’t have enjoyed such good results. Through your participation at this gala, you will help us make another a step towards an inclusive community. Let’s support these children to carry their dream on.
The “ Christmas Tree of Hope “ decoration will take place place in Iasi ,outside City Hall of Iasi , between 12.00-13.00 p.m ,on 3rd of December 2015. At this event are invited the members of the community to decorate the tree around , with messages of solidarity and acceptance for the children with disabilities. Also the local authorities ,the representatives from civil society, teachrers,schools ,university students,parliament people are invited to be present at this important moment . We expect about 350 people to attend the meeting and all local mass media representatives.We expect you shall address a short message at this ceremony,beside the Mayor of Iasi and the delegation from Sweden and Norway.
On this anniversary, we will be glad to have you with us, the ambassador of Sweden In Romania,her Excellency Anneli, Lindahl Kenny . We are particularly delighted to have with us the president and founder of Star of Hope International (SOH)Mr. Lennart Eriksson, SOH Sweden CEO, Ulrika Kalin, Maine Kiklund Olofsson, founder of SOH Romania, Fred Thornes – Star of Hope Norway CEO, Eivor Kraft - Kraft Foundation CEO, as well as other dear friends and supporters from Sweden, Norway, who are the real heroes behind our work.
We will be honored to have with us the President of Iasi County Council, Mr. Victorel Lupu, as well as the Mayor, Mr. Mihai Chirica. We thank the Iasi City Hall for the support on organizing this event, as well as the main partners and sponsors without whom we couldn’t have organized such a special international event in Iasi.
