Last Thursday was the inauguration of our renovated preschool in Akobima, Ghana. After extensive renovation and upgrading, the children and staff have been given nice classrooms to conduct their teaching in. The classrooms, corridors, the kitchen, the schoolyard, and the teacher's room have been given new, more durable floors. The school has been refreshed and repainted. The classrooms have been provided new comfortable furniture for the children and the teachers.

Also, a modern and well-equipped playroom has been built. There are educational toys for children of different ages; Lego, puzzles, bikes, and more to make children's development.
The lively inauguration offered music, dance, and speeches where the children's families were invited to participate and also look into the classrooms to see the refreshed rooms. To the local band's rhythmic tones, the children performed dances, and many mothers joined in a spontaneous dance in the schoolyard.
The preschool has nine employees this academic year and receives 162 children who, together with their parents, are very grateful for this development. The school has improved in several ways in recent years. In 2017, breakfast was started as a supplement to the daily school lunch. The same year, the school was given new toilets, and the kitchen received a gas installation.
All this has led to better school results and better health among the children.
