Help with Food
My name is Alyssa Whitehead (pictured left), and I am now playing with Umeå Sodra FF this season while conducting sports ministry. I have just finished university at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, and playing with the Charlotte Lady Eagles for three years. It is cool to see how two previous stages have prepared me for what God has called me to do in Sweden. I am extremely excited for the opportunity to come to Sweden to play soccer and most importantly, share the Gospel. It's a blessing to have the chance to do two things I love to do, play the world's favorite sport and share God's love to those I encounter. I am excited to see what God has in store for Jess and me here in Sweden as we partner with Sport for Life and Star of Hope. Greater things are yet to come, thanks for all of the prayers and support!
*My name is Jessica Rostedt (pictured right), and I am playing for Umea Sodra FF this season. I am very blessed to have this opportunity to use the gifts God has given me to play soccer and share the Gospel with my teammates and the people that I will encounter during my time in Sweden. By faith I know that God has brought me here for His glory to use me to point others towards Him. When you submit your need to have control over things in your life and surrender them to the Lord, He will use you in ways that you will never imagine. I believe that this time with Umea Sodra FF, Sport for Life, and Star of Hope will open doors for Christ's present and future work for His kingdom in Sweden.
*My name is T.S. Noble (surround by Star of Hope classics Lenart on my left and Tobbe on my right). I play soccer with Friska Viljor FC in Ornskoldsvik, Sweden. Also, I coach with local youth programs, work in gymnasiums (high school), and with churches in the area. This is my 2nd year with the project created between Hoppets Stjarna (Star of Hope) and Sport for Life. From 2011 to 2012 many doors opened for the Gospel through this partnership, and I fully expect big things to come this season. If I didn't, I'd be enjoying a much warmer climate back in Baton Rouge. As we continue in Ornskoldsvik, I look forward to our new work with the ladies in Umeå Sodra.
