Help with Food
We have worked in Haiti providing education and community development since the '70s. More than 3,500 children attend our seven schools this school year. In addition to education, all children also receive a daily school lunch and have access to toilets and clean drinking water. We also share the Gospel of Christ with all who choose to listen.
Haiti has had several difficult years and the social and economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic have been significant. The unrest continues and sometimes becomes very violent. This makes it difficult for our local employees, and for sponsor children and their families in the projects.
Inflation in general for 2020 was 21%, and for food as much as 26%. The already poor are hit hard by this.
