The loaded backpacks made it!
Report from Tony in Haiti:
The distribution of school backpacks with materials in Cavaillon went well. It did transpire during a very intense crisis-ridden time.
Protests are happening all over the nation. Dangerous armed gangs are operating in the open all over the country. It was a blessing we all made it here.
Due to all the unrest, we made the program short and effective. We gave 710 kits (backpacks and supplies) to children of two local groups. The first, "Lights for Living", on Saturday 16 at 4:00 PM, and another group of 700 children of "Pyramid Production" organization on Sunday at10:00AM. We will come back for children in the other areas later this month.
Think about driving through all the dangers to get the kids a backpack.
Next thought, for 28 years, Star of Hope has distributed Christmas presents to needy families.
For those who give out, Christmas presents it is a very nice tradition. For those who get them, it is much more than that. In many families, Christmas Eve is not the highlight of the year. The highlight is the moment they receive the Christmas present from you.
Some people dream of getting a Christmas present from you!
Spread the Christmas light where it is darkest!
