Help with Food
The family is vital to a child's development and growth into a mature, secure and productive person. The home is our first school where we learn life's most important lessons. We in Star of Hope International desire to strengthen the family and the role it plays in the development of the child.
One way is to encourage parental involvement in the child's school. At many of our projects, evening classes are held where adults are given the opportunity to learn how to read and write, the importance of nourishing foods and basic healthcare.
Unfortunately, in many locations, the mother is alone in carrying the burden of supporting her family. In these cases, we strive to empower the mothers through education and opportunities to be involved in income generating activities.
