Yes, you are making a difference!
Here is a quick update from Haiti, a country that keeps getting hit hard, over and over.
Our hearts are heavy as we think of the people in Haiti who are still facing the difficult aftermath of a devastating flood. We want to share with you some moving photos from a village called Hesse, nestled in the mountains. Thanks to the kindness of many generous individuals, hundreds of sponsored children and their families have received food packages to help them through this tough time.
The support from people like you has been incredible and heartwarming. We're thankful to everyone who has pitched in to help in this crucial relief effort. The smiles on the faces of those who received the food packages tell a powerful story about how much this aid means to them. Their resilience in the face of such hardship is truly inspiring.
To make sure the food reached the people who needed it most, we decided to buy it locally. This choice was made to avoid any potential conflicts with armed groups on the road from the capital, Port-au-Prince, even though it came at a higher cost. Our project leaders were determined to do whatever it took to ensure that the food reached those who needed it most, and we applaud their dedication and resourcefulness.
Once again, we want to express our sincere thanks to everyone who has contributed to this vital cause. Your support has had a profound impact on the lives of so many, and we feel privileged to be part of this important mission.
Right now farm hand tools are needed, can you spare 15 bucks to help a family plant seeds and produce food?
