Haiti Relief: Your Impact Saves Lives
It is quiet at the Star of Hope school in Boyer. Far too quiet. When heavily armed gangs descended on the village, the children were forced to flee for their lives. Haiti has been plunged into a spiral of violence that has left the nation leaderless and lawless, with 1.4 million starving people displaced from their homes. Amidst this chaos, your support is making a life-saving difference for families fighting for survival. “Your generosity is the light in the darkness for these families. We thank you for standing with the children of Haiti.”

The Current Situation in Haiti is dark yet your impact saves lives!

  • Gang Control: Gangs now control 85% of the capital, Port-au-Prince. Between January and November 2025, the UN reported 8,152 gang-related deaths.
  • Displacement Crisis: At least 207,000 people have been deported back to Haiti, joining 1.4 million internally displaced citizens. Every second child lacks a daily meal.
  • Hurricane Melissa: On October 28, the lowlands were submerged, destroying vital crops like bananas and beans, severely worsening the food crisis.

Updates from Our Project Sites

Dano, Hesse & Marigot

Located south of the capital, these regions remain safe from gang control. We are currently serving nearly 1,400 children across these three locations.

Bois Negresse

Tucked away in the mountains, this school serves 450 children. Thanks to our donors, families are utilizing a new communal tool library and high-quality seeds to sustain themselves.

Jeanton & Rigaud

Despite roadblocks and previous looting, our staff is heroically keeping schools open. In Rigaud, we have successfully reopened on a smaller scale through our project sponsorship program.

 Star of Hope School

Deeper thoughts from our CEO or Why your impact saves lives.

Look, I get it. When you turn on the news and see Haiti in the headlines again, it feels like a bottomless pit. It’s easy to throw your hands up and think nothing ever changes. But out here, we know you don’t fix a whole field by staring at the fence line—you start with the first row.

Why we say impact saves lives… When we help one child at a time at the Star of Hope school, it isn’t some vague “global crisis” anymore. It’s a real kid getting a hot plate of rice and beans. For about $40, you aren’t just sending “aid”—you’re covering a month of school and a daily meal for a student who’d otherwise be out on the street. Another $25 gets a sturdy backpack and the workbooks they need to actually learn something.

We aren’t trying to solve the world’s politics from a keyboard. We’re just making sure that while the adults are figuring things out, these kids aren’t going hungry. It’s a tangible, honest result you can hang your hat on. One kid, one meal, one more day of safety. That’s how you actually get somewhere.

Now, if you’re the type who likes to see the “big picture” or just wants to make sure everything’s on the up-and-up, you can head over to the USAID page. It’s got all the official reports and a breakdown of how our country is helping out down there. It’s a good way to see that while things are tough, there’s a real plan in place to help these folks get back to standing on their own two feet.

You can find all that right here: https://www.usaid.gov/haiti
