Both children and their parents are affected:

Now we want to stop the spread of the infection by offering vaccinations and treatment! Hepatitis B is a serious health threat facing many communities around the world, including Ghana. At Star of Hope Ghana, we’re committed to combating this disease and ensuring that every child has access to the healthcare they need to thrive.

The Problem:
During our annual health checks, we discovered alarming rates of Hepatitis B in Ghanaian schools. Both children and their parents were affected, putting entire communities at risk.

Our Solution:
We believe that every child deserves a healthy and happy life. That’s why we’re offering vaccinations and treatment to prevent the spread of Hepatitis B and provide relief to those already affected.
How Your Support Can Make a Difference:

Vaccinations: Just 100 Swedish kronor can provide three vaccine doses, offering lifelong protection against Hepatitis B.
Treatment: For those who have already contracted the virus, we provide essential treatment to manage their symptoms and prevent complications.

Community Education: We’re raising awareness about Hepatitis B prevention and encouraging healthy lifestyle habits.

Charity Frempong, the leader of Star of Hope Ghana, shares her passion for this cause and the impact it’s having on the communities we serve.

“During our annual health checks, we discovered cases of Hepatitis B in five out of six of our schools here in Ghana. Both children and their parents were affected. Now we want to stop the spread of this disease by offering vaccinations and treatment!”

“I was personally present at the health checks, which included our students, their parents, and all our school staff. We checked their blood pressure, blood sugar, and teeth. The adults also received tips and advice on how to better care for themselves, their children, and their dental health. For those with dental problems, our dentist was able to provide on-site assistance, including 43 fillings. The situation is more serious for those affected by Hepatitis B – but with your help, we can solve this problem!

Our goal is to provide vaccinations to 502 people in our project villages: children, parents, and employees. Since the disease can be transmitted from mother to fetus, it is important to help the parents as well, otherwise, more children will be born with the virus in their bodies. 100 Swedish kronor is enough for three vaccine doses, which provide lifelong protection. At the same time, we will ensure that all affected children receive treatment!”

Join Us in the Fight: Your support is essential to our mission. Here’s how you can help:
