Elisabeth Has Received Her Sewing Machine
In May 2024, we told you about Elisabeth, a mother of two in Ghana, who was forced to toil on farms for “80 cents” a day despite being a trained seamstress.

Now, thanks to all of you who supported our fundraiser, Elisabeth has started her own business with a Sewing Machine.

We took Elisabeth to the market in Accra where she was able to choose fabrics, tape measures, zippers, an iron, and other equipment for her starter kit. We also helped install the sewing machine in her home. All of this was filmed – and you can watch the video here!

From her new home workshop, Elisabeth offers tailoring services and sells handmade dresses. “From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank all the donors who helped me realize my lost dream,” she says. “Now I am determined to shape a brighter future for myself and my children.”

Thanks to all the donations we received in May, skilled mothers in both Ghana and Kenya will receive the same starter kit as Elisabeth. A thousand thanks to all of you who have changed these women’s lives!
