New Toilets at the Qom preschool in Argentina
The long-term development work in northern Argentina continues. Since 1977, tens of thousands of people from the vulnerable Toba people (also called the Qom people) have had a better life. This is thanks to the fantastic commitment and support of all sponsors and donors.

Toilets? Yes! A Successful Fundraiser for Jardín Alba Preschool

In the spring, we held a fundraiser for our unique preschool, Jardín Alba, located in the Nam Qom area outside the city of Sáenz Peña in Argentina. Jardín Alba is the only preschool where teaching is conducted in both Spanish and the children’s mother tongue, Toba (also called Qom).

Thanks to all the generous donations, we have successfully renovated and developed the school. We built a special disabled toilet for children with various disabilities and adapted entrances and premises with special thresholds to ensure the school is accessible to everyone. These adaptations meet the increased requirements set by authorities for schools in the region and across the country.

We extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to this fundraiser.

This school year, Jardín Alba welcomes 60 children who are cared for by five teachers and educators. Two of these teachers are specially trained bilingual instructors.

Is it just us or do you think a new toilet is fun…

Once again, thank you to everyone who supports Star of Hope’s work in Argentina.
