Focus Business School Triumphs in Ukraine
Eight-Year Wait Ends: Focus Business School Launches in Ukraine, In a major development for international educational outreach, Focus Business School (FBS), in collaboration with Star of Hope International and Tent Mission, has successfully delivered a long-awaited “training for trainers” program in Berdychiv, Ukraine.

High Intensity, High-Level Business Training

Despite an eight-year delay in reaching Ukraine for this instance and ongoing regional challenges, a high-level delegation, including FBS founder Marco Strömberg, executed the intensive mission between October 5th and 10th.

Many have asked about this teaching so, the Focus Business School, the premier Business & Entrepreneur School, provides a powerful toolkit for success in both professional life and business ownership. Whether your goal is to launch and successfully manage your own company, or to significantly enhance your ability to perform as an employee, leader, or CEO in the corporate world, our course is designed to equip you with the essential skills and strategic knowledge you need to excel.

The FBS team, which saw Strömberg lead the first day before heading to South Africa for other commitments, included Lennart Eriksson and Mark Presson. They continued the instruction for approximately 25 enthusiastic participants.

The mission was designed as an accelerated “training for trainers” model, making the pace and intensity extremely high. The curriculum was comprehensive, covering nearly every aspect of starting a business with a strong emphasis on Biblical principles. This intensity initially raised some concerns among the instructors.

“When I was presenting the material and looking at the participants, I wondered, ‘Are they getting anything out of this? Is this useful for them?’ and I was very worried,” recounts Mark Presson, who taught the majority of the 48 segments.

The training was hosted by the Church of the Nativity of Christ in Berdychiv ( open in maps ). The church provided a top-notch venue with technology that significantly aided the teaching. This successful partnership was built on a ten-year relationship, with catalyst Andreas Edvinsson laying the groundwork over the years. This effort follows a history of aid from organizations like Star of Hope International, which has worked in the country since the Chernobyl disaster.

Perseverance Pays Off

Edvinsson shared the challenging journey to bring FBS to this specific location. For eight years, he attempted to launch the program, but obstacles—including the war, initial hesitation from local pastors, and logistical hurdles in assembling a travel team—had all proven to be major setbacks.

The persistence finally paid dividends. Once teamed up with Star of Hope, the program was a go. When the intensive sessions concluded, the atmosphere shifted from focused learning to genuine appreciation.

“When the sessions were over and we had Q&As,” Presson recalled, “the questions showed that everyone truly appreciated the material with genuine gratitude, and there were questions about the material as well. But above all, everyone said that the program was first-class and simply exceeded expectations.” Participants gave a special shout-out to Lennart Eriksson’s presentation on biblical dreams.

A Pastor’s Change of Heart

Perhaps the most validating moment came from Pastor Peter, the head pastor of the Church of the Nativity of Christ, who approached the team with a heartfelt confession and a clear request for expansion.

“Honestly, I was very hesitant about this, and we decided to do it anyway because we put it in God’s hands,” Pastor Peter explained. “Now that I’ve seen the teaching, and now that I know who it is for, I want to do this more and more. I want more seminars. I want these trainers to hold more seminars.”

This overwhelming gratitude and immediate desire for expansion stand as a testament to the high quality and relevance of the Focus Business School curriculum.

Despite the palpable tension—with reports of drones flying overhead at night and a continuous awareness of the conflict—the training event was a significant success. Focus Business School can be proud that its curriculum has successfully reached and inspired a new generation of high-level trainers in Ukraine.
