Star of Hope International, America is governed by a volunteer board of directors, of whom the majority are independent. Directors serve a three-year term and strive to make decisions that are in the best interest of the children served around the world.

Rodica Malos, MS, ANP, DNP

Rodica joined the Board after many years of involvement in the work especially through Star of Hope Romania. Rodica resides in Gresham, OR. As a Doctor of Nursing Practice and with many licenses in addition (Ph.D. Degree Program with clinical orientation) Rodica is a welcome addition to our Board.

Rodica is also the owner, operator of two adult foster homes, and residential care facilities. In the past Rodica was very involved with “Daily Bread for Orphans in Romania” from 1993- 2000and “ICMP” Bucharest, Romania.

Rodica speaks fluent in Romanian and is most interested in the evangelical movement happing in Romania and wants to be a conduit for that work to move faster and wider.

Erik Lennart Eriksson

Lennart Eriksson is the Founder, CEO & President of Star of Hope International, the umbrella group that all the Star of Hope organizations, worldwide, cooperate within.

Lennart is the visionary and the leader of Tent Mission the evangelical arm of Star of Hope. Born in 1956, father of five children. Living in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden. He's a member of a local Baptist Church. He's also an appreciated inspirational speaker and motivator.

Kevin Huff

Kevin Huff is an accomplished, seasoned Telecom veteran who left the industry to start a leadership and sales effectiveness company. In 2008, he started Training To Go with one idea in mind: to change the game of corporate training. Training To Go broke the chains of traditional training inside and outside the classroom. With Kevin's customer-focused approach, Training To Go doubled in size in the first year. At the end of a second explosive-growth year, Kevin sold Training To Go to Sales Artists, becoming the CEO (or as he prefers, the Chief Experience Officer) of the new combined entity. www.salesartists.com


Kevin brings a wealth of sales, marketing, and training experience to Sales Artists. He has held key leadership positions in Marketing and Sales for several Fortune 500 companies, has trained over 15,000 salespeople, has taught both "Training & Development" and "Sales Effectiveness" courses at Harrison College, and speaks internationally on the subjects of Sales, Business, and Training.
Kevin also serves as Vice-chairman for Cornerstone Pastor's Network and has a heart for pastors serving in smaller (<500) churches across the globe.

Ulrika Kallin

Ulrika is the CEO of Star of Hope Sweden, "Hoppets Stjarna:. She has led many new processes in the Star of Hope family after taking the helm. Mainly all her work has lead to greater efficiency both in the funding and project countries. Ulrika is the mother of 3 boys and daughter of Star of Hopes founder. A singer in her spare time she loves to sing worship songs wherever she can.  

Kay Metsger, RN, BSN

Ms. Kay Metsger, RN BSN, of Fairview, Oregon is a driving force for the board members both in networking and in the Word; she helps guide the organization in the Pacific Northwest to help Star of Hope in the pursuit of its mission.

Ms. Metsger, a graduate of the University of Oregon School of Nursing, brings her extensive education and work experience in the health field to the board. Over the past few years, she has traveled to Romania where she participated in multiple Star of Hope conferences to benefit women caring for children with disabilities.

She has been involved with Agape Women's ministry, New Beginnings church ministry as well as My Father's House Ministries. Her passion to impact the spiritual and physical needs of the most vulnerable peoples is evident in the energy she brings to the board.

Mark J Presson (CEO)

Mark Presson, 1960, born in Wurzburg, Germany, raised in Panama and the US. Mark has lived in Europe and Asia for many years and now is stationed in Kansas. Mark has 5 years of higher education and has been with the Star of Hope family for 30 years. Mark has worked in the organization with different responsibilities, including CEO, COO, Disaster & Recovery Manager, relief and equipment staging and shipping, digital advocacy, grant writing, web-based fundraising tools and fundraising, management change, speaker and more. Mark is a Christian man married to Maria Presson and they have 2 sons.

 

Maria Katarina Presson (COO)

Maria Eriksson Presson is the daughter of the founder Erik Gunnar and has a wealth of knowledge in the way the founder wanted this organization to be touching hearts and changing lives into the future. Maria brings that knowledge as well as fundraising for hundreds of millions worldwide. Maria also has guides the Star of Hope families through the procurement and installation of different database solutions throughout the years. Maria is also a board member on Tent Mission, the parent organization, of the Star of Hope families.
