Help with Food
June 28,2011: Star of hope paid out last week huge amount of special gift money to many sponsored kids from Dano, Rigaud, Boyer, Jeanton, Marigot, Hesse, liancourt , B.Negresse and Carrefour orphanage. Summer break is good time to give money gift to the kids, it will be very useful to have a wonderful 2months summer break. Most kids will invest their money in buying animals like pig, goat, cow and chicken to raise to make more money in the future for emergency needs in the family. Some kids will spend their money in food, drinks, candy and clothing and shoe, another group will spend the money in entertainment to have fun summer time; football, beaches, summer camp, visiting friends and relatives, bathing in the river, fishing, program club, games, etc… the last group will give the money to the parents for daily need like food, medicines, and farming.
So you can imagine how happy are children who received special gift money from their sponsors in the last day in school to go in summer break. To make sure that everyone get their money, star of hope assist to all special gift money distribution in each school and we take picture of each individual kids with one of the parents together. This week is scheduled to visit all star of hope school project to assist special gift money distribution to the kids.
We have been to Rigaud school today to distribute money gift envelop to 71 children. The picture in attach is one the group pictures that was taken in Rigaud today. Tomorrow we are going to Dano to make sure that special gift money envelop is given to the right kids, we are also planning to inspect Dano school construction.
For this year we are planning to make two more important special gift money distributions: one is in October so kids and parents can get some extra money to help them pay for books, uniform, school supplies and new school year school fees, the last distribution will be in December for Christmas.
