The school year in Ghana is over. At the end of July, school closures were held for over 900 children in our six pre-schools. There were solid programs at the schools and parents were invited to attend the school closing day. The nearly 200 students who completed one of the preschools received a diploma showing that they are now ready for primary school this fall.
In addition to the diploma award, the program also included dance shows, music, poetry reading and some of the children performed plays. Hope Star's operations manager in Ghana Charity Frempong gave an encouraging speech to the children, and so did the village leaders.
The children, the school staff and the parents had a fun graduation day before going on summer holidays and holidays. They are also very grateful for all the support over the years from all the sponsors. It is you sponsors who, through your continuous support, keep the business alive in Ghana. Your support is needed.
The work is constantly evolving and in the last two years, most schools have been upgraded properly. We now serve both breakfast and lunch to all the children for example. But we want to do even more for the children and their development.
