Help with Food
You can't imagine how happy Star of Hope Haiti was when they found out that some children from Great Bend Kansas were able to supply them with 4000 seedlings to reforest much-needed Countryside in Haiti. The planting will occur in the mountain village of Bois Negresse. They suffered a forest fire and it destroyed part of the forest. Now the planting will be done by our sponsored children and forest workers.
We thank Grace Community Church VBS 2017 for raising enough money to plant 4000 trees and we also want to thank the donor who anonymously doubled the gift.
The Children at Grace during VBS 2017 heard about the situation of children in Haiti, deforestation and the need for trees. New trees will hinder an even larger problem.
They also decorated stars to send to children at Star of Hope project in Bois Negresse, Haiti.
Star of Hope has been working in Haiti for almost 40 years, with help from people like you, we support; 7 churches, 7 schools, and 3 children's homes. Haiti has suffered more than its fair share of natural disasters over the years so these trees will really help protect the countryside and will teach the children good stewardship of their natural resources. So again thank you very much to each and one of you who has donated to this wonderful project.
