Help with Food
Just as we eagerly await the signs of new life in Spring, we look for the fruit of seeds planted in our Star of Hope projects around the world. It is with great joy that I receive the recent victorious report out of Romania. For out of your generosity, 5 wells were dug, 5 greenhouses built, goat herds begun, and tailoring workshop initiated. This outreach assisted parents to better provide for their children with disabilities.
In addition, families are becoming communities again, trusting their new found skills to help them become productive and hopeful again. New Centers have opened to touch more areas in Romania. Focus Business School Classes have given vital skills toward employment opportunities. Alpha and Beta Classes have enhanced knowledge of the Bible and provide a stable and safe environment to ask questions.
Lives were touched for all eternity last year in the scope of Star of Hope projects. But it was the Family Camp that continues to stand out as the highlight. Families with disabled children are able to attend a special camp ministering to their special needs, while the parents/siblings receive many interpersonal and faith building skills. We can see the tangible effects upon those who have attended as they demonstrate confidence and hope throughout the year in their new support network.
As we prepare for a special Family Conference in May, and upcoming Family Camp in July, I urge your continued support in these life-changing encounters. I personally will be attending the Pastors/Family Conference, along with my Pastors, Ed and Cheryl Rebman, New Beginnings Church, Portland, Oregon; we will also have the privilege of ministering at some of the new projects and to families in their own churches, homes, and communities.
It is through your generous support that Star of Hope continues to grow and bless other families who would never have any means of receiving the care, teaching, and support needed for their special needs children. Please join me as we bring a message of HOPE to those most vulnerable, to the least, the lost, and the marginalized. Thank you for help bringing the GOOD NEWS of the gospel of Jesus Christ into their hearts and lives…for all eternity.
